Application overview
How Koyo bearings serve Electric Motors & Pumps
Electric motors, pumps, fans and compressors make up most general-machinery bearing demand. In this equipment bearings run at high speed, with low noise and long service intervals. Repair workshops need the right seal type, clearance and cage for drive-end and non-drive-end positions.
- Keep drive-end and non-drive-end bearings apart on the order, because they often differ in type, such as a cylindrical roller bearing at the drive end and a deep groove ball bearing at the non-drive end.
- Match seal or shield suffixes (ZZ, 2RS, open) and clearance (C3) to the original motor specification.
- Use angular contact ball bearings in pairs where pump shafts carry steady axial thrust.
- On variable-frequency drive motors, check whether insulated or electrically protected bearings are specified.
