Application overview
How Koyo bearings serve Drive Shafts & Assemblies
Drive shafts, universal joints, planetary stages and compact mechanical assemblies depend on bearings that fit tight radial envelopes and carry oscillating or axial loads. Drive-system builders need bearings supplied exactly to specification so they install without rework.
- Use needle roller bearings or drawn cups at compact shaft positions, and check the shaft hardness and tolerance if running directly on the shaft without an inner ring.
- Specify thrust needle or thrust ball bearings for axial loads between rotating components and housings.
- Confirm the seal type and lubrication method of each bearing against the assembly drawing.
- Supply all bearings for one assembly as a set to avoid mixed executions in the same unit.
